Role Overview:

The Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for the end-to-end testing lifecycle, including testing existing and new features of web and desktop-based applications, identifying bugs, and improving testing strategies.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Testing:

    • Conduct manual testing for web-based and desktop applications.

    • Create and implement detailed test cases for functional, unit, performance, security, and scalability testing.

    • Develop and execute tests to check functionality and detect/minimize bugs, errors, and security flaws.

  • Bug Tracking & Reporting:

    • Suggest new tools and techniques to improve testing efficiency.

    • Prepare 'Test Result Report (TRR)' for each tested release and discuss observations with the Technology Team.

    • Follow standard practices and methodologies for testing and defect tracking.

  • Test Management:

    • Knowledge of Test Management tools.

    • Establish quantitative trends for bug types and their recurring frequency.

  • Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:

    • Work closely with the Technology Team for validation of test results.

    • Follow defined testing and defect-tracking methodologies.

  • Other Duties:

    • Perform any additional roles as suggested by the Department Head/Manager.


Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • B.Sc. (IT), B.E., MCA, or other Technical Graduates with coursework in Software Development, Testing, or Quality Assurance.

  • Certification:

    • Certification in Software Testing.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 0-6 months of experience in a Quality/Manual Tester role for Software solutions.

  • Skills:

    • In-depth knowledge of Software Testing Processes and methodologies.

    • Sound understanding of Functional Testing.


Added Advantage (Qualifications / Skill Sets):

  • Strong written communication skills.

  • Knowledge of Automation testing tools.

  • Knowledge of Android/iOS testing tools.

  • Familiarity with Security testing tools.

  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with lateral thinking to meet project needs.
