Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – Case Processing to lead pharmacovigilance operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage case processing teams. This role combines hands-on ICSR management, project coordination, staff mentoring, and quality oversight for PharmaLex PV projects in a fast-paced, global healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct triage and initial validity assessments of cases, including spontaneous reports, clinical trials, literature, and health authority submissions.

  • Manage quality, workload, compliance, and documentation for assigned PV projects.

  • Evaluate the need for expedited reporting to Health Authorities and client partners, ensuring timely submission of ICSRs.

  • Prepare standard reporting forms (CIOMS I, MedWatch, XML files) and follow-up requests.

  • Act as line manager for assigned staff, including recruitment, training, mentoring, goal setting, and annual appraisals.

  • Coordinate project resources, manage departmental CVs, job descriptions, and training records per SOPs.

  • Ensure compliance with internal standards, national and international regulations, and global pharmacovigilance guidelines.

  • Represent PV department during audits, inspections, and regulatory assessments.

  • Draft, review, and organize QA documentation, including SOPs, Working Instructions, templates, and project metafiles.

  • Oversee case processing, data entry, quality control, and documentation completion.

  • Actively mentor and support new team members to ensure smooth integration and professional development.

  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisors in alignment with process requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • University degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Medicine, or related field.

  • Significant experience in pharmacovigilance, ICSR case processing, and team management.

  • Strong knowledge of PV regulations, GCP, GPvP, ICH, EMA, and FDA guidelines.
