Biomedical Writer – Cadent, A Syneos Health Company | New York City, NY

Job Summary:
Are you a PhD, MD, or PharmD passionate about translating complex science into compelling content? Cadent, part of Syneos Health, is seeking an entry-level Biomedical Writer in New York City, NY to support promotional and educational content creation across diverse disease areas. This is a unique opportunity to enter the pharmaceutical communications field and contribute to impactful messaging that bridges cutting-edge research and healthcare professionals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop scientific materials including slide decks, video scripts, and print resources

  • Conduct literature reviews to gain therapeutic area knowledge

  • Collaborate with internal teams and participate in client meetings

  • Ensure all materials are scientifically accurate and reference-supported

  • Visualize complex data in clear, engaging formats

  • Conduct quality checks and fact-verification of peer-developed content

  • Assist in tracking project deadlines with cross-functional teams

  • Learn the clinical development lifecycle and pharma communications landscape

  • Occasionally travel (approx. 10%) for conferences or client engagements


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • PhD, MD, or PharmD (required)

  • 0–1 years of experience in pharma or medical communications

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills

  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven, team-oriented environment

  • Familiarity with oncology or immunology is a plus (not required)
