Job Overview
Accenture is seeking a Clinical Data Services Analyst to support clinical data operations and clinical database testing within its Life Sciences R&D vertical. This role focuses on clinical data management, UAT testing, validation, and quality assurance, ensuring high-quality, compliant clinical trial data across global studies.
The position is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in clinical database testing, UAT execution, and data validation who are looking to advance their careers in clinical research and life sciences consulting.
Key Responsibilities
Support clinical data management activities, including discrepancy review, query generation, and query resolution.
Participate in the creation and review of CRF Completion Guidelines (CCG) and SAE reconciliation guidelines.
Identify and document protocol deviations within clinical databases.
Design, develop, and execute edit check validation test cases and test scripts.
Perform database validation and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) against approved CRF/eCRF specifications.
Identify UAT test scenarios in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Business System Owners (BSOs).
Develop, maintain, and execute automated UAT test scripts using TOSCA.
Analyze test results, identify defects, and support defect resolution and closeout activities.
Conduct UAT meetings with internal and client stakeholders and communicate testing status and timelines.
Participate in regular project meetings and provide input on UAT planning and delivery timelines.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of Clinical Data Operations and Clinical Database Testing.
Experience in UAT planning, execution, and validation within clinical systems.
Hands-on experience with test case development, defect tracking, and test execution.
Familiarity with automated testing tools, preferably TOSCA.
Good analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Qualifications & Experience
BE or Master of Engineering is required.
2–5 years of experience in clinical data management, clinical database testing, UAT, or related life sciences roles.
Experience supporting global clinical trials and regulated environments is preferred.
Work Environment & Role Expectations
Individual contributor role within a collaborative team structure.
Moderate guidance provided for daily tasks and detailed instructions for new assignments.
Regular interaction with internal teams and limited exposure to client stakeholders.
The role may require working in rotational shifts based on project requirements.
