Job Overview

This role combines technical laboratory work with team leadership responsibilities. You will support daily lab operations, ensure accurate testing, and guide junior staff while maintaining compliance with quality and safety standards.


Key Responsibilities

Lab Operations

  • Support day-to-day functioning of the core laboratory

  • Monitor testing workflows and ensure timely reporting

  • Maintain laboratory equipment and troubleshoot issues

Team Leadership

  • Assist in training new hires and developing team members

  • Report performance, issues, and progress to supervisors

  • Help manage team productivity and workflow

Testing & Quality Control

  • Perform routine and complex laboratory tests

  • Ensure specimen acceptance as per standards

  • Maintain quality control and preventive maintenance records

Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports

  • Ensure accurate and timely test result reporting

  • Maintain compliance with SOPs and lab regulations


Required Skills

Strong understanding of laboratory operations and SOPs

Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset

Leadership and team coordination ability

Good communication and decision-making skills


Preferred Skills

ASCP / AMT certification

Prior experience in team handling or supervision

Familiarity with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)
