About the Role
LabCorp is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join our Franklin, Wisconsin team on the 3rd shift. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-volume laboratory environment, contributing to LabCorp’s mission of “Improving Health, Improving Lives.” As a 3rd shift technologist, you will perform routine and complex laboratory testing, ensuring accurate and timely results for patient care.
Work Schedule:
3rd Shift: Flexible scheduling 9:00 PM – 7:30 AM or 10:00 PM – 8:30 AM
Rotating schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off, Wednesday – Tuesday
Rotating holidays
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate the acceptability of specimens for testing in accordance with established criteria.
Perform routine and advanced laboratory procedures following departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure accurate functionality and results.
Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls.
Report precise and timely test results to ensure high-quality patient care.
Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
Monitor and replenish laboratory supplies as necessary.
Assist in specimen processing as needed.
Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to all personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or equivalent degree meeting CLIA & State regulations.
Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory testing experience required at the Technologist level.
ASCP or AMT certification preferred.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Proficiency with computers; familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication.
Must pass standardized color vision testing.
Flexibility to work overtime or alternative shifts as needed.
Required seasonal flu vaccination.
