Parexel is hiring a Clinical Operations Manager to oversee a team responsible for the successful execution of clinical trial deliverables. This pivotal role ensures timely, high-quality project outcomes and offers a balance of strategic oversight and hands-on involvement in clinical operations. You will manage staffing, mentor talent, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to business growth initiatives.
You will work independently under the supervision of senior leadership while maintaining a strong client interface and contributing to the organization's excellence in project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Delivery Management and Oversight:
Monitor and ensure the accuracy of project documentation and performance by close interaction with project and functional leadership.
Contribute as a senior-level project team member to ensure high-quality and timely deliverables.
Facilitate metric collection, identify risks, and help implement action plans to maintain project timelines and budgets.
Oversee team activities including resourcing, staff assignments, and quality control of deliverables.
Serve as a liaison between the project team, sponsor, and leadership for performance-related communication.
Performance and Talent Management:
Provide ongoing technical and operational support to direct reports.
Conduct quality checks on deliverables and ensure adherence to project productivity and quality metrics.
Lead staff development through mentoring, goal setting, and training, including involvement in performance and salary reviews.
Improve team efficiency in prioritizing work, based on feedback, audits, and outcomes.
Client Management and Business Development:
Support business development efforts such as client networking and speaking engagements.
Participate in project bids and client presentations when appropriate.
Coordinate client or account activities and respond to client feedback constructively.
Operational and Organizational Support:
Champion the implementation of process improvement initiatives within Parexel and the department.
Complete administrative tasks on schedule (e.g., time sheets, travel claims, training).
Foster a results-driven, team-oriented work environment with open and objective communication.
Maintain compliance with ICH-GCP guidelines, regulatory requirements, and SOPs.
General Leadership and Compliance:
May manage multidisciplinary employees across functions or locations.
Serve as a leadership role model, actively participating in functional or site-based initiatives.
Support GMBA responsibilities where applicable.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proven ability to manage and develop direct reports effectively.
Substantial experience in clinical monitoring, data management, or similar functions in clinical research.
Strong understanding of the clinical trials landscape and operational nuances.
Degree in biological sciences, pharmacy, nursing, or a health-related field (or equivalent experience).
Fluency in written English and competency in the local language; spoken English preferred.
Estimated Salary: ₹28 – ₹38 LPA, depending on qualifications and experience.
