Role Overview
The Clinical Ops Analyst supports clinical business operations through reporting, data analysis, dashboard development, and user support. The role is heavily focused on Power BI-based reporting and clinical data visualization, with responsibility for ensuring accurate, timely, and reliable operational insights for clinical teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Reporting & Dashboard Development
Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards for clinical operations
Use DAX, measures, and data modeling for reporting logic
Create and enhance visual reports based on business needs
Update dashboards based on stakeholder feedback or enhancement requests
2. Data Analysis & Operations Support
Analyze clinical operational data and generate insights
Support ad-hoc reporting and metric requests
Assist in identifying data trends, gaps, and inconsistencies
Maintain a strong understanding of underlying clinical data structures
3. User Support & Issue Resolution
Respond to user support tickets and Service Desk requests
Investigate and resolve data discrepancies and reporting issues
Escalate complex technical problems when needed
Maintain clear communication with users until issue resolution
4. Clinical Systems & Project Support
Support clinical reporting systems and related tools
Participate in system or reporting change management activities
Assist in testing and validation of reporting solutions
Collaborate on requirement gathering and solution design
5. Stakeholder Communication
Work with cross-functional clinical teams and business users
Provide timely updates on requests and issue resolution
Attend meetings and track action items to completion
Communicate technical insights in a clear, user-friendly manner
6. Training & Documentation
Support user training initiatives
Develop and maintain training and reference materials
Ensure users understand reporting tools and dashboards
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
2+ years of Power BI experience
Strong knowledge of:
DAX (Data Analysis Expressions)
Measures and calculated columns
Dashboard development
Proficiency in Excel and basic querying skills
Experience with reporting tools in a data-driven environment
Preferred Skills
Exposure to Power Platform tools
Experience in clinical or life sciences reporting environments
Basic understanding of data systems used in clinical operations
Soft Skills
Strong communication skills
