Job Overview
Abbott, a global leader in healthcare innovation, is seeking a Clinical Sales Specialist – Structural Heart, TEER to support its advanced structural heart portfolio. The role focuses on providing clinical and technical expertise, customer education, and sales support to healthcare providers for transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (TEER) and structural heart therapies.

This position plays a key role in advancing patient outcomes by supporting interventional cardiologists and clinical teams, delivering procedural guidance, and contributing to strategic product adoption across the assigned territory. The position may be offered at different levels based on candidate experience.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical and Procedural Support
Collaborate with Territory Managers to ensure effective case coverage and improved clinical outcomes. Provide technical and procedural support during structural heart interventions and serve as the primary resource for surgical coverage, troubleshooting, and product usage guidance.

Customer Education and Training
Train interventional cardiologists, catheter laboratory staff, and healthcare professionals on the clinical application and appropriate use of structural heart products. Conduct in-service education programs and communicate advancements in therapy, technology, and clinical outcomes.

Sales and Market Development
Support product adoption by communicating clinical, product, and market data to stakeholders. Actively participate in clinical and technical discussions, linking data outcomes to key product messaging and supporting marketing initiatives.

Client Relationship Management
Engage with existing and prospective healthcare providers to identify clinical needs, operational challenges, and patient care objectives. Provide tailored solutions that enhance procedural efficiency and patient outcomes.

Technical and Strategic Collaboration
Work cross-functionally to support business development initiatives, maintain strong customer relationships, and contribute to regional growth strategies within the structural heart portfolio.

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) or equivalent professional experience required.
Degree in life sciences or medical training such as Registered Nurse (RN), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or perfusion training preferred.

Experience Requirements

Minimum 6 years of related cardiovascular experience required.
Experience in interventional cardiology, cardiac surgery, electrophysiology, or structural heart therapies preferred.
Strong clinical orientation with experience supporting cardiovascular devices and procedural technologies is highly desirable.

Preferred Skills and Competencies

Strong clinical and technical knowledge in structural heart or cardiovascular therapies.
Experience with echocardiography and indirect imaging techniques preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and influence clinical decision-making.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities in procedural environments.
Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and customer engagement skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic healthcare environment.
