Job Overview

This is a senior leadership role focused on driving clinical research strategy, business growth, and client engagement within pharmaceutical and biotech development programs.

You will combine expertise in drug development, clinical research operations, and business strategy to design and lead high-value clinical trial delivery models and expand business opportunities globally.


Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership & Growth

  • Lead strategic clinical trial design and operational delivery strategies

  • Develop innovative solutions to improve win rates and business profitability

  • Support business development through RFI responses, proposals, and bid defenses

  • Contribute to enterprise-wide growth initiatives


2. Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain senior-level client relationships

  • Act as SME for clients, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and partners

  • Understand client needs and ensure satisfaction across projects

  • Represent the company in external engagements and industry discussions


3. Clinical Trial Strategy & Execution

  • Design end-to-end clinical trial strategies

  • Provide oversight during post-award execution

  • Ensure alignment between operational teams and strategic goals

  • Monitor project performance using metrics and dashboards


4. Business & Financial Strategy

  • Contribute to profitable study/program strategies

  • Apply financial acumen to improve business outcomes

  • Support pricing, proposal development, and competitive positioning


5. Organizational Leadership

  • Lead global, cross-functional teams

  • Mentor and develop talent within the organization

  • Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning

  • Support training and capability building across teams


6. Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with:

    • Regulatory requirements

    • GCP (Good Clinical Practice) standards

    • Internal quality frameworks

  • Contribute to risk management and quality assurance processes


7. Industry Engagement

  • Publish scientific content and present at conferences/webinars

  • Represent the company in industry forums

  • Stay updated with drug development trends and therapeutic areas


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Equivalent experience may be considered in place of a degree


Required Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech/CRO industry

  • At least 3+ years in drug development or clinical trial project management


Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA or PhD preferred)

  • Experience in:

    • Clinical research strategy

    • Business development

    • Client relationship management

    • Drug development lifecycle
