Job Overview
Opella is hiring an Expert Scientific Writer to develop high-quality scientific and medical communication content for the pharmaceutical and consumer healthcare industry. The role involves end-to-end publication and medical education content development, including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and slide decks. The candidate will collaborate with global stakeholders, guide scientific writers, and ensure compliance with medical communication standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Scientific Content Development
Develop complex medical and scientific communication materials such as manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and slide decks.
Manage the end-to-end publication and medical education content development process.
Ensure timely delivery of high-quality scientific content aligned with publication strategies.
2. Publication Planning & Strategy
Support publication planning and implementation for assigned therapeutic areas.
Conduct publication need analysis and assist in developing regional publication strategies.
Provide strategic support to institutions and individuals involved in publication activities.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration
Maintain effective relationships with medical scientific communities and internal stakeholders.
Collaborate with medical affairs and scientific communication teams to identify publication needs.
Liaise with healthcare professionals and experts to develop accurate and impactful scientific content.
4. Leadership & Mentorship
Coach and review content created by senior and junior scientific writers.
Share expertise and provide training to enhance team knowledge in scientific communication.
Support internal teams in adopting best practices in medical writing and publication management.
5. Process & Compliance
Manage documentation and approval workflows through PromoMats / Datavision platforms.
Ensure compliance with internal processes, regulatory guidelines, and publication standards.
Work with vendors and internal teams to deliver publication deliverables efficiently.
