About the Role
Optum NY (formerly Optum Tri-State NY) is seeking a skilled Gastroenterologist to join our healthcare team in Carmel, NY. As a Gastroenterologist at Optum, you will leverage advanced clinical resources, robust diagnostic facilities, and national-level support to provide comprehensive gastroenterology care, perform specialized procedures, and contribute innovative practice initiatives that improve patient outcomes across New York.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently practice gastroenterology with strong affiliations to local tertiary care hospitals.

  • Consult with patients to evaluate gastrointestinal health concerns, perform diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans.

  • Perform endoscopic and colonoscopy procedures, as well as other required surgical interventions.

  • Collaborate with primary care physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure continuity of care.

  • Participate in Surgery Center/ASC ownership opportunities and clinical initiatives.

  • Utilize evidence-based, value-driven care principles to optimize patient outcomes and enhance community health.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Licensure: Active, unrestricted New York State medical license or application in process.

  • Certification: Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Gastroenterology.

  • Licenses: Active and unrestricted DEA license or ability to obtain prior to start.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a patient-focused healthcare environment.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $371,000 – $735,500 annually (total cash compensation including base and potential bonus). Salary is commensurate with experience, education, and performance metrics.
