Optum NY (formerly Optum Tri-State NY) is seeking a skilled Gastroenterologist to join our healthcare team in Carmel, NY. As a Gastroenterologist at Optum, you will leverage advanced clinical resources, robust diagnostic facilities, and national-level support to provide comprehensive gastroenterology care, perform specialized procedures, and contribute innovative practice initiatives that improve patient outcomes across New York.
Key Responsibilities
Independently practice gastroenterology with strong affiliations to local tertiary care hospitals.
Consult with patients to evaluate gastrointestinal health concerns, perform diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans.
Perform endoscopic and colonoscopy procedures, as well as other required surgical interventions.
Collaborate with primary care physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure continuity of care.
Participate in Surgery Center/ASC ownership opportunities and clinical initiatives.
Utilize evidence-based, value-driven care principles to optimize patient outcomes and enhance community health.

Qualifications & Requirements
Licensure: Active, unrestricted New York State medical license or application in process.
Certification: Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Gastroenterology.
Licenses: Active and unrestricted DEA license or ability to obtain prior to start.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a patient-focused healthcare environment.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $371,000 – $735,500 annually (total cash compensation including base and potential bonus). Salary is commensurate with experience, education, and performance metrics.
