Job Summary

Cognizant is seeking a proactive German Speaking Pharmacovigilance Team Lead to manage and guide a dynamic pharmacovigilance team in Budapest. This role offers an opportunity to lead safety case processing, ensure compliance with global PV standards, and coordinate team activities in a multicultural, technology-driven environment. Ideal for professionals aiming to leverage leadership skills in the pharma and drug safety sector.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day PV operations and team performance.

  • Track and report project metrics, quality tools, and KPIs regularly.

  • Set performance goals, distribute tasks, and oversee team deliverables.

  • Ensure adherence to SLAs and client KPIs as per contracts.

  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.

  • Conduct performance appraisals, provide regular feedback, and manage team motivation and retention.

  • Handle resource issues, resignations, and escalations with supervisors.

  • Drive training compliance and maintain documentation in line with Global Training Plans.

  • Guide associates in continuous process improvement initiatives in coordination with clients.

  • Maintain audit readiness and adherence to internal and client-specific SOPs.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Graduate/Postgraduate/Doctorate in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, or equivalent.

  • Minimum 3 years of pharmacovigilance experience, with at least 1 year in team handling or leadership.

  • Fluent in German and English (spoken and written).

  • Strong leadership, team management, and performance evaluation skills.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficiency in pharmacovigilance software and tools (e.g., Argus).

  • Knowledge of ICH-GCP, GVP, and global drug safety regulations.
