Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Verification Representative to support revenue cycle operations by ensuring accurate and timely insurance eligibility verification within client-hosted systems. This role plays a critical part in claim accuracy, reimbursement integrity, and compliance with payer and HIPAA standards.

The ideal candidate will have prior exposure to insurance verification workflows, payer portals, and healthcare practice management systems, with the ability to work independently while meeting quality and productivity benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Access and navigate payer web portals to retrieve current patient insurance eligibility and coverage details.

  • Accurately update insurance information in client-hosted practice management systems.

  • Validate insurance data against scanned insurance cards to ensure correctness and completeness.

  • Follow established procedures for claims filing once insurance updates are completed.

  • Document all actions, updates, and verifications in both internal systems and client platforms.

  • Independently manage assigned work queues while consistently meeting productivity and quality standards.

  • Adhere to client-specific and departmental policies, SOPs, and compliance guidelines.

  • Communicate effectively with leadership and cross-functional teams as required.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality and handle Protected Health Information (PHI) in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

  • Support additional tasks and projects as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Education:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent (mandatory).

  • Experience Level:

    • 0–2 years of experience in insurance verification, eligibility checks, or revenue cycle management.

    • Prior experience in a healthcare billing or RCM environment is preferred.

  • Technical & System Skills:

    • Experience with practice management systems such as GE Centricity, EPIC PB, Cerner, or Allscripts (preferred).

    • Familiarity with payer portals including eviCore, NaviNet, and Novitasphere.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with basic Excel skills.

  • Core Competencies:

    • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines effectively.

    • Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Working Conditions

  • Work Setup: Onsite

  • Shift: Night Shift (5:30 PM – 2:30 AM IST)

  • Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to sit for extended periods and perform computer-based tasks.

  • Mental Requirements:

    • Ability to follow instructions, manage workload efficiently, and work under pressure.

  • Work Environment:

    • Professional office environment with minimal noise levels.
