Pharmacist – Outpatient Clinic on the California Coast
Location: California Coast
Schedule: Weekdays Only, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Compensation: Generous Salary with Benefits, Sign-On Bonus

Job Overview:
Join a beautiful outpatient clinic serving a Tribal community on the California Coast. This modern, $35 million facility offers a great work-life balance, with weekdays-only hours and no drive-throughs or immunization administration like retail settings. Enjoy a holistic approach to patient care in a tight-knit community, seeing the same patients and providers daily. This position is eligible for loan repayment and retirement matching contributions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense medications accurately, verifying appropriateness and accuracy.
  • Provide medication consultations and advise medical staff on drug interactions, dosage, and side effects.
  • Ensure compliance with 340b regulations, including verifying chart notes and referrals.
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering medications, and ensuring the pharmacy is fully stocked.
  • Supervise pharmacy staff in the absence of the Pharmacy Director and assist with training.
  • Collaborate with providers and medical teams to ensure safe and effective medication therapy.
  • Monitor controlled medications for compliance with regulations and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy degree from an accredited college or equivalent.
  • Valid California Pharmacist License.
  • BLS Certification.
  • 2+ years of pharmacy experience (Level I) or 4+ years (Level II).
  • Experience with pharmacy management systems (PMS) and Electronic Health Records (EHR).

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in a holistic care setting.
  • Knowledge of 340b compliance.
  • Experience with bubble/blister pack medication adherence.
  • Ability to work with American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) populations.
