Job Summary

Cognizant is seeking highly skilled Life Sciences Consultants with expertise in Pharma R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Operations, and Pharmacovigilance to join our consulting practice. This role offers the opportunity to work with cross-functional teams, support client projects, and contribute to strategic initiatives across the pharmaceutical lifecycle, from Drug Discovery to Clinical Trials.

Candidates with experience as a Business Analyst, Agile Project Roles, Program/Project Management, or Management Consulting are ideal. The role includes individual contribution with potential leadership responsibilities, delivering consulting services, driving innovation, and supporting business development initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

R&D Domain Expertise:

  • Provide insights in Drug Discovery, Pre-clinical and Clinical Operations, Clinical Trials/Clinical Informatics, Pharmacovigilance, and Regulatory Affairs.

  • Support regulatory business operations, guideline implementation, and RIMS initiatives.

Business Analysis:

  • Lead requirements gathering sessions and document detailed user requirements.

  • Analyze organizational functions, workflows, and documentation to design comprehensive solutions.

  • Apply business modeling techniques such as process flows, data flows, and stakeholder analysis.

  • Use tools like Jira and Azure DevOps to track and manage requirements effectively.

Agile & Project Management:

  • Participate in Agile project/product development with experience as Scrum Master, Product Owner, RTE, or Product Manager.

  • Conduct PMO activities, project/program planning, and risk management to ensure project success.

  • Apply Agile certifications (CSPO, CSM, SAFe) or Project Management certifications (PMP) where applicable.

Consulting & Business Development:

  • Support go-to-market strategies, RFIs, RFPs, and service offering development.

  • Deliver domain consulting including strategy, organizational change management, digital transformation, SOP creation, and market assessment.

  • Contribute thought leadership through whitepapers, research articles, and infographics.

Team & Client Engagement:

  • Lead or collaborate with teams on consulting engagements.

  • Manage client interactions, workshops, and presentations with senior stakeholders.

  • Support business development and identify new consulting opportunities.


Qualifications

  • Education: MBA (Preferred) or relevant degree in Life Sciences/Pharma/Technology.

  • Experience: 3–20 years in Pharma R&D, Regulatory, Clinical, or Pharmacovigilance consulting.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, Visio, PowerPoint, and business analysis tools.

  • Exposure to Agile methodologies, project management frameworks, and consulting best practices.

  • Ability to think creatively, implement innovative solutions, and drive business outcomes.
