Job Overview

We are hiring a Manager – Medical Affairs to provide scientific leadership, KOL engagement, medical strategy execution, evidence generation support, physician scientific communication, and cross-functional medical collaboration for Sun Pharma’s Cardiovascular-Metabolic portfolio.

This role is ideal for experienced medical professionals with expertise in medical affairs, scientific engagement, KOL management, medical education, evidence communication, therapeutic strategy, and pharmaceutical medical leadership.

The ideal candidate will serve as the scientific face of the organization, bridging external healthcare stakeholders and internal business teams to drive evidence-based therapeutic impact.


Key Responsibilities

Medical Affairs Strategic Leadership

Act as a core scientific member of the franchise team supporting the cardiovascular-metabolic portfolio.

Responsibilities include:

  • Scientific enablement of therapeutic portfolio
  • Medical strategy execution
  • Scientific leadership for brand/franchise initiatives
  • Evidence-based medical support

Drive alignment between scientific objectives and business priorities.


Key Opinion Leader (KOL) Engagement

Lead external medical stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and map thought leaders
  • Build KOL profiles
  • Segment stakeholders by geography and therapeutic relevance
  • Develop long-term engagement strategies

Engage stakeholders through:

  • Peer-to-peer scientific interactions
  • Advisory discussions
  • Medical affairs initiatives
  • Scientific exchange activities

Healthcare Professional Scientific Engagement

Serve as the primary scientific representative to:

  • Physicians
  • Specialists
  • Thought leaders
  • Healthcare professionals (HCPs)

Key activities:

  • Scientific discussions
  • Evidence communication
  • Therapy-area engagement
  • Clinical insight exchange

Provide balanced, scientifically accurate communication.


Medical Education & Scientific Programs

Execute strategic medical affairs initiatives including:

Handle scientific inquiries from:

Required Qualifications

Education

Mandatory:

  • Registered Medical Doctor (MBBS)

Preferred:

  • Postgraduate medical qualification (MD / equivalent)

Preferred Therapeutic Expertise

  • Chronic disease therapeutics
