Job Overview

We are seeking a Medical Communications and Content Specialist to join our medical communications team in Mumbai. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in medical writing, content development, and scientific communications within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry. The specialist will be responsible for creating, reviewing, and managing high-quality medical content across multiple formats and channels to support scientific, clinical, and commercial objectives.

This is a hybrid role offering exposure to cross-functional teams, including medical affairs, regulatory, and external agencies, and the opportunity to contribute to impactful medical communication strategies for diverse audiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, adapt, and reuse medical content documents across multiple formats to support scientific and medical communications.

  • Review and edit medical content to ensure accuracy, clarity, compliance with internal SOPs, and alignment with external guidelines, including references and anti-plagiarism verification.

  • Ensure clear, factual, and engaging presentation of clinical analyses and scientific discussions in all assigned documents.

  • Adapt writing and editorial style to suit different audiences, including medical specialists, allied healthcare professionals, and consumer audiences.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, subject matter experts, and external agencies to ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency of content.

  • Support team coordination by assisting with workflow management and quality assurance of contributions from other team members.

  • Deliver high-quality content within deadlines while proactively communicating potential delays or information gaps to project teams.

  • Conduct quality control and review assessments for assigned deliverables as required.

  • Communicate project progress to stakeholders and ensure adherence to quality standards and project timelines.

  • Prioritize multiple projects to manage workload efficiently within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 2–5 years in medical writing, medical communications, or scientific content development within pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, clinical research, or healthcare sectors.

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, or related discipline.

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, clinical trial data, and regulatory guidelines.

  • Demonstrated experience in writing for diverse audiences including HCPs, consumers, and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Proficiency with MS Office, document management systems, and scientific databases.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask effectively.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in hybrid and global team environments.
