Position Overview

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will act as a scientific expert and field-based medical representative, engaging with Thought Leaders (TLs) and healthcare professionals (HCPs) to disseminate up-to-date, evidence-based information related to Bayer’s pharmaceutical portfolio—especially in women’s health, including contraception and endometriosis.


Primary Responsibilities

  1. Scientific Exchange & Education

    • Engage TLs via proactive and reactive scientific discussions

    • Disseminate clinical study protocols, abstracts, and scientific data

    • Clarify product-related inquiries in line with regulatory guidance

  2. Medical Societies & Advisory Boards

    • Respond to scientific/medical queries from professional bodies

    • Organize or support medical advisory board sessions

  3. Congress & Convention Participation

    • Network with TLs and gather competitive intelligence at scientific events

  4. Scientific Training & Education Sessions

    • Plan and conduct disease/product education with TLs

  5. TL Profiling & Strategic Engagement

    • Help segment TLs based on influence and scientific expertise

    • Align engagement plans with Bayer’s Medical Affairs strategy

  6. Reporting & Activity Tracking

    • Submit field interaction reports and monitor progress toward objectives


Secondary Responsibilities

  • Provide additional scientific support and training not covered under core activities.


Qualifications

Education:

  • Degree in natural sciences or medical background (MD, MBBS, BAMS, BDS, MDS)

Experience & Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of women’s health, contraception, endometriosis

  • Understanding of clinical trial design and rationale

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

  • Ability to work both independently and in teams
