Microbiology Analyst / Executive Trainee

Location: India (On-site)

Job Overview

We are seeking a Microbiology Analyst / Executive Trainee to support microbiological quality control and environmental monitoring activities in a bio-manufacturing environment. The role involves performing routine microbiological testing, maintaining laboratory hygiene standards, and supporting compliance with GMP and sterility assurance requirements.

This position is suitable for candidates with foundational knowledge in microbiology and a strong interest in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical quality control operations.

Key Responsibilities

Microbiological Testing & Analysis

  • Perform routine microbiological testing including:

    • Bioburden testing

    • Sterility testing

    • Microbial limit tests

  • Support microbial identification and culture maintenance activities.

  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance in laboratory testing processes.

Environmental Monitoring & Water Testing

  • Conduct water sampling and analysis as per defined SOPs.

  • Perform environmental monitoring in controlled manufacturing and cleanroom areas.

  • Record and report environmental data in compliance with GMP requirements.

Media Preparation & Sterilization

  • Prepare and sterilize microbiological media for testing activities.

  • Operate and monitor autoclave systems for sterilization processes.

  • Ensure proper documentation of media preparation and sterilization cycles.

Equipment Support & Calibration

  • Assist in qualification and calibration of microbiology laboratory equipment.

  • Ensure proper maintenance and usage of laboratory instruments.

  • Support validation activities related to microbiological systems.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and laboratory safety standards.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of test results and laboratory records.

  • Ensure adherence to SOPs and quality guidelines.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Microbiology (mandatory)

Experience Required

Fresher Eligible: Yes

Experience Level: Freshers to 2+ years preferred (depending on role level)
