Nurse Manager – Venice Family Clinic (Los Angeles, CA)

Job Summary:
UCLA Health's Venice Family Clinic is seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse Manager to lead clinical and nursing operations across multiple sites in Los Angeles County. This is a career-defining opportunity to impact underserved communities through strategic nursing leadership, healthcare innovation, and population health initiatives. As part of a multidisciplinary leadership team, you will oversee program design, nursing services, and clinic operations that support low-income and homeless populations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee the training of medical assistants and nursing staff across assigned clinics

  • Develop clinical care plans, protocols, and patient care policies in collaboration with the Director of Nursing

  • Lead innovations in care delivery using design thinking and continuous quality improvement frameworks

  • Provide clinical leadership for population health and community-based care programs

  • Supervise regional nursing teams, including RNs, medical assistants, and volunteers

  • Deliver direct patient care within regional clinics as needed

  • Participate in interdisciplinary planning and the execution of patient care strategies

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and best practices in nursing care


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Current California RN license

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing preferred

  • Minimum 3–5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role

  • Experience working in community or public health settings is strongly preferred

  • Proven skills in staff supervision, program development, and quality improvement

  • Strong understanding of healthcare disparities, social determinants of health, and underserved patient populations

  • Ability to lead change, coach teams, and foster a culture of excellence
