Position Summary:
The PACS Administrator plays a critical role in the implementation, support, and optimization of medical imaging applications at Central Peninsula Hospital. Reporting to the Imaging Services Director, this position serves as the primary on-site IS resource for the administration and support of PACS, CVIS PACS, and technical medical imaging interfaces. The PACS Administrator is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of imaging systems, supporting clinical processes, and providing second-level support as a subject matter expert in medical imaging technology.

Requirements:

  • Education:
    • Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology, or
    • Associate's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience:
    • 5 years of Imaging – Radiography experience, or
    • 5 years of Information Services – PACS/RIS experience
  • Certification:
    • Certified PACS Associate (CPAS) from the PACS Administrator Registry & Certification Association within 18 months of employment
