Job Summary:
UCLA Health is seeking a skilled Per Diem Inpatient Pharmacy Technician to support clinical pharmacy operations in Los Angeles. In this on-site role, you’ll work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, assisting with inpatient drug distribution, Pyxis inventory, IV and chemotherapy compounding, and other technical functions. Key Responsibilities:
Assist with medication distribution and drug preparation activities
Perform IV and chemotherapy sterile compounding
Manage Pyxis medstation inventory and daily restocking
Maintain accurate logs, billing records, and documentation
Pre-pack medications and conduct expiration checks
Support security and housekeeping functions within the pharmacy
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Valid California Pharmacy Technician license required
Tech I: Less than 2 years of inpatient pharmacy experience
Tech II: 2+ years of inpatient pharmacy experience
Knowledge of sterile compounding techniques and safety standards
Familiarity with Pyxis or other automated dispensing systems
Ability to follow detailed protocols in a high-volume hospital setting
Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed
