Role Overview

This role is focused on Pharmacovigilance (Drug Safety Surveillance), which involves monitoring the safety of pharmaceutical products after and during clinical use.

You will be responsible for ensuring the detection, assessment, and prevention of adverse drug effects, helping maintain patient safety and regulatory compliance.


Key Responsibilities

1. Case Processing & Safety Data Management

  • Create and manage Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs)

  • Perform:

    • Case identification

    • Data entry

    • Case processing

    • Follow-ups

  • Maintain safety database records as per client and regulatory requirements


2. Medical Coding & Documentation

  • Perform MedDRA coding for adverse event cases

  • Ensure accurate classification of medical terms

  • Maintain consistency and compliance in safety documentation


3. Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure all pharmacovigilance activities comply with:

    • Global regulatory requirements

    • Client-specific guidelines

  • Support submission of safety reports to regulatory authorities


4. Drug Safety Surveillance

  • Monitor and analyze safety data from:

    • Clinical trials

    • Healthcare providers

    • Patients

  • Support identification of potential safety risks

  • Assist in ensuring timely action to protect patient health


5. Workflow Execution

  • Work within defined processes and guidelines

  • Follow structured instructions for task execution

  • Support routine pharmacovigilance operations
