Role Overview

The Pharmacovigilance Services Specialist is responsible for ensuring patient safety by monitoring, assessing, and preventing adverse effects of pharmaceutical products. The role involves overseeing case processing, managing small teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and delivering high-quality pharmacovigilance services for clients.


Key Responsibilities

Pharmacovigilance Case Management:

  • Create and manage case identification, data entry, MedDRA coding, case processing, submission, and follow-ups for ICSRs.

  • Ensure adherence to client guidelines and global regulatory requirements.

  • Analyze moderately complex pharmacovigilance problems and propose solutions.

Team & Client Interaction:

  • Manage small teams or work efforts within the client or Accenture.

  • Collaborate with client project leads, service delivery leads, and peers to manage risks, issues, and escalations.

  • Primary upward interaction is with direct supervisor; may also interact with peers or management levels.

Problem-Solving & Compliance:

  • Apply existing methods and procedures; adapt or create new solutions as required.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.

  • Manage operational risk and maintain detail-oriented documentation.

Work Mode:

  • May require working in rotational shifts.

Qualifications
