Job Overview
A leading global Clinical Research Organization (CRO) is seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join its Early Phase Clinical Research Unit in Daytona Beach, Florida. This office-based role supports Phase I clinical trials and pharmaceutical development programs focused on safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics of investigational therapies.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Pharmacy Operations
Support preparation, handling, and accountability of investigational products in accordance with study protocols
Maintain accurate drug inventory records and documentation
Assist with sterile compounding activities when applicable
Ensure compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Uphold data integrity standards within electronic documentation systems
Quality & Compliance
Follow clinical trial protocols and regulatory guidelines with strict adherence
Maintain accurate and complete study records
Support internal quality control processes
Work cross-functionally with clinical research teams to ensure protocol compliance
Operational Support
Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant pharmacy/laboratory environment
Adapt to changing study priorities and timelines
Participate in process improvement and continuous learning initiatives
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a quality, R&D, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or regulated healthcare setting
Experience with Good Documentation Practices (GDP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and data integrity principles
Direct hospital or long-term care pharmacy technician experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage technical processes accurately
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment
Preferred Credentials
Registered Pharmacy Technician (as per Florida state requirements)
Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or equivalent)
Experience with sterile compounding or pharmaceutical manufacturing strongly preferred
Equivalent and relevant professional experience may be considered in place of formal education requirements.
Work Environment
This position is based onsite in Daytona Beach, FL within a clinical research and laboratory setting.
Exposure to biological materials and investigational products
Personal protective equipment (PPE) required, including protective eyewear, garments, and gloves
Occasional local site visits and limited domestic travel
Technology-driven environment utilizing electronic systems for documentation and compliance
The role requires adaptability, precision, and accountability in a strictly protocol-controlled clinical research setting.
Physical Requirements
Ability to remain stationary or upright for 6–8 hours per shift
Repetitive hand movements for compounding and laboratory tasks
Occasional bending, stooping, and twisting
Ability to lift and carry up to 15–20 lbs
Consistent attendance with flexibility for varied work hours
