We are currently seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in Seattle and surrounding locations. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a varied, fast-paced environment and enjoy working with multiple patient populations across different sites.


Position Overview

As a Float Phlebotomist, you will travel between multiple Labcorp locations, providing skilled blood collection and exceptional patient care. This role offers broad exposure to clinical practices, diverse patient groups, and multiple laboratory workflows, providing excellent opportunities for professional growth and skill development.

Compensation: $21.87 – $32.28 per hour
Float Incentive: Additional $2.00/hour + mileage reimbursement
Quarterly Incentive: Eligible for PST Incentive Plan based on performance metrics


Work Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, variable hours between 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

  • Rotating weekends may be required

  • Locations: Seattle, Issaquah, and additional sites within the region


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for patients of all ages.

  • Collect specimens for drug screening, paternity testing, alcohol testing, and other laboratory procedures.

  • Accurately enter patient information and maintain data integrity.

  • Process billing and collect payments as required.

  • Prepare specimens for testing and ensure proper handling and labeling.

  • Maintain patient and specimen logs in accordance with laboratory standards.

  • Deliver exceptional patient service, ensuring comfort and safety.

  • Perform administrative duties as needed and travel to additional sites as required.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Valid Washington State Phlebotomy License or proof of application filed with the Washington Department of Health at the time of hire.

  • Previous phlebotomy experience preferred, particularly in outpatient or clinical settings.

  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Demonstrated track record of high-quality patient service.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Reliable transportation for multi-site travel.

  • Flexibility to work overtime or adjusted schedules as needed.

  • Ability to pass a standardized color vision test.
