About the Role

Clario is hiring a Pricing and Proposals Specialist to support global clinical trial sponsors with accurate budgeting, pricing strategy, and proposal development. This role is critical in ensuring competitive, compliant, and well-structured financial proposals that align with client requirements and organizational standards.

Operating on European working hours while based in India, this position offers the opportunity to collaborate with international stakeholders across Sales, Finance, Project Management, Product, and Scientific teams. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in clinical research pricing, change order development, and proposal management within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.


Key Responsibilities

Pricing & Change Order Management

  • Develop detailed pricing estimates for change-in-scope requests across simple to complex clinical trial projects.

  • Collaborate with Project Management and Sales teams to assess scope modifications and determine financial impact.

  • Create Change Order documents and client-ready proposals using internal and sponsor templates.

  • Ensure all pricing documentation is accurate, compliant, and delivered within defined timelines.

Proposal Development & RFP Support

  • Review and analyze client Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and clinical study protocols in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • Generate budget estimates, ballpark pricing, and comprehensive proposals to support RFP submissions.

  • Coordinate with Sales, Finance, Product Leads, and Scientific teams to define optimal pricing strategies for large or complex clinical trials and programs.

Systems & Process Management

  • Maintain accurate budget and project data in internal systems and CRM platforms.

  • Ensure proper document storage and version control in alignment with departmental guidelines.

  • Contribute to process improvements, template enhancements, and operational efficiencies related to Change Orders and RFP workflows.

  • Support cross-functional initiatives, including training and documentation updates.

Team Collaboration & Mentorship

  • Mentor junior team members to ensure high-quality output and adherence to pricing standards.

  • Participate in internal knowledge-sharing and training initiatives to strengthen pricing governance and consistency.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, Finance, or a related discipline (preferred; relevant experience may substitute).

  • Minimum 2+ years of professional experience in Life Sciences, Clinical Research, Pharmaceutical Services, or a related healthcare field.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing pricing estimates, financial models, and change order proposals for clinical trials.

  • Working knowledge of pharmaceutical industry terminology, clinical development processes, and trial budgeting structures.

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

  • Experience using Salesforce or other CRM systems is an advantage.

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and financial accuracy.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills suitable for global stakeholder interaction.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in cross-functional teams.
