Job Summary:
Syneos Health is hiring a Principal Biostatistician (Non-Clinical Statistician) to join its cutting-edge biopharmaceutical solutions team in Pune, India. This role involves leading statistical design, execution, and analysis for pre-clinical experiments while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a global pharmaceutical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Research and Pre-Clinical Development teams to plan, execute, and analyze experiments.
Design experiments suitable for lab conditions, perform sample-size calculations, and assist in animal testing license applications.
Conduct data transfer, randomization, and statistical interpretation.
Develop and implement statistical analysis plans ensuring consistency across projects.
Lead virtual cross-functional sub-teams and manage coordination of statistical activities.
Ensure timely and accurate statistical deliverables, whether in-house or outsourced.
Develop standardized processes for routine experiment analysis.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven expertise in biostatistics, especially in pre-clinical research.
Ability to design experiments and analyze data using statistical software.
Strong leadership skills to manage virtual cross-functional teams.
Experience coordinating statistical activities across small projects.
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
Relevant academic qualifications (Master’s/PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related field).
