Job Summary
IQVIA is seeking a Principal Clinical Database Design Manager to lead and oversee technical design activities across RAVE study builds and migrations. In this fully remote position, you will drive clinical database development processes, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality data systems that align with project needs and regulatory standards. This is a senior-level opportunity ideal for professionals with hands-on RAVE EDC experience and leadership in eCRF design, edit checks, and system architecture for global clinical trials.
Key Responsibilities
Design and update eCRFs, dynamics, and edit checks using Medidata RAVE
Lead study build and migration timelines, ensuring quality and timely delivery
Provide technical oversight and review of database design, CRF specifications, and edit check setup
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to solve complex technical issues
Guide and mentor team members in technical design best practices
Participate in client meetings and strategic planning discussions
Ensure adherence to project scope, timelines, and budget
Support process innovation and implementation of new database technologies
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
9+ years of overall experience, with at least 4–6 years in RAVE technical design
Strong hands-on experience with Medidata RAVE, CRF development, and edit checks
Knowledge of clinical data standards, EDC tools, and validation processes
Familiarity with project budgeting, out-of-scope tracking, and cost revisions
Experience mentoring or managing database design professionals
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
Programming experience (desirable)
