Job Summary
Sanofi is hiring a Principal Scientific Writer in Hyderabad to lead and deliver high-quality medical communication and publication projects across multiple therapeutic areas. You will take charge of complex content creation, guide junior writers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and directly contribute to strategic publication planning. Ideal for seasoned professionals in medical writing or scientific communications, this role is pivotal in advancing global pharma content strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Independently develop complex scientific content including slide decks, abstracts, posters, and manuscripts
Lead the end-to-end publication and medical education content lifecycle in systems like PromoMats and iEnvision
Act as a subject matter expert and mentor for junior and senior scientific writers
Collaborate across therapeutic areas and franchises to support multiple global publications
Recommend and implement best practices for process improvement and content quality
Guide scientific communication planning by supporting medical departments and stakeholder teams
Interact directly with healthcare professionals and publication stakeholders
Contribute to digital transformation and innovation in scientific content delivery
Support budget planning, vendor management, and project resourcing as required
Required Skills & Qualifications
10+ years of experience in scientific content creation, especially in medical communication and publications
4+ years of experience in a leadership or mentoring capacity preferred
Proficient in scientific writing platforms (PromoMats, iEnvision/Datavision)
Strong domain expertise in therapeutic areas and publication development
Advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacy, or medicine (PhD, MPharm, MBBS, MD preferred)
Exceptional written and verbal communication in English
Stakeholder management, team collaboration, and independent working ability
Experience in project management and strategic communication planning
