PRN Research Nurse – Clinical Trials

Job Summary

Fortrea, a global leader in Clinical Research Organization (CRO) services, invites applications for PRN Research Nurses to join its world-class Clinical Pharmacology Unit in Dallas, TX. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to early-phase clinical trials that determine the safety, pharmacokinetics, and tolerability of innovative therapies for top pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality participant care adhering to clinical protocols and nursing standards.

  • Monitor participant well-being, identify adverse events, and take timely action.

  • Obtain and process informed consent; explain study procedures to participants.

  • Administer investigational compounds, including parenteral drugs, as per study protocols.

  • Perform clinical trial activities such as cannulation, telemetry, holters, ECGs, venipuncture, and vital signs monitoring.

  • Collect, process, and manage biological samples following SOPs.

  • Record and transcribe source data accurately into Case Report Forms (CRFs).

  • Respond effectively in emergency situations within clinical guidelines.

  • Manage additional assigned duties to ensure smooth clinical trial execution.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate's or BS Degree in Nursing with active state licensure.

  • 2–3 years of nursing experience preferred.

  • CPR/AED certification required; ACLS certification preferred (or obtainable after hire).

  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, protocol-driven environment.

  • Strong adaptability, prioritization, teamwork, and communication skills.

  • Proficiency with electronic data systems and documentation practices.
