Summary

Step into a pivotal role where your leadership will shape the future of clinical enablement through cutting-edge data platforms.
As Program Manager within the Advanced Quantitative Science team, you will drive delivery of QUANTA—a next-generation statistical compute platform—empowering biostatisticians and scientists to accelerate innovation.

You will lead global cross-functional teams, champion Agile practices, and ensure seamless execution of high-impact programs that transform how Novartis harnesses data to improve patient outcomes.


About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of the QUANTA platform within the SCAPE initiative.

  • Coordinate internal and external teams to achieve program goals and timelines.

  • Serve as a Release Train Engineer (RTE), facilitating Agile Release Train activities and ensuring cross-team alignment.

  • Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and GxP validation standards.

  • Engage stakeholders to define requirements and deliver measurable business value.

  • Present program updates, risks, and progress to senior leadership and steering committees.

  • Promote adoption of emerging tools and Agile ways of working to streamline execution.

  • Support Agile delivery teams in DevOps adherence, building efficiencies, and ensuring timely releases.


Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Informatics, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in program/project management within IT delivery.

  • 5+ years of experience in Pharma or IT industry, including GxP IT solution delivery.

  • Proven record in managing Agile and Waterfall hybrid projects.

  • Hands-on experience as a Release Train Engineer (RTE) with Agile Release Train leadership.

  • Strong knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD processes, and tools like Jira.


Desirable Requirements

  • Familiarity with drug research, development, or commercialization portfolios.

  • Experience in global, multicultural, and matrixed environments.
