Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Reporting Analyst II to support end-to-end financial reporting and investigator payment management for global clinical trials. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate forecasting, tracking, reconciliation, and reporting of investigator and site payments while applying core project management and financial controls.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in clinical trial finance or grant payments, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across global operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage analytical dashboards and reporting metrics for investigator and site payments.

  • Process, track, and administer payments to investigators, study sites, and other payees in support of clinical trials.

  • Identify payment milestones and criteria, including passthrough costs, advances, credits, and debits.

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of study budget templates.

  • Collaborate with Site Agreements teams to ensure accurate interpretation of investigator contract payment terms.

  • Communicate effectively with investigative sites and clinical teams regarding payment status, queries, and updates.

  • Reconcile study payments regularly and provide detailed financial reports to sponsors and internal stakeholders.

  • Support internal and sponsor audits by providing complete and accurate site payment documentation.

  • Review Electronic Data Capture (EDC) updates to determine payment eligibility for budget line items.

  • Maintain and update payment tracking systems and ensure compliance with project-specific policies and procedures.

  • Liaise with Finance teams to resolve site payment and accounting issues.

  • Act as a subject matter expert for grant and budget-related queries.

  • Mentor junior team members and assist with onboarding and training activities.

  • Support the development, testing, and enhancement of grant payment systems and tools.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to operational efficiency initiatives.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support project and business needs.


Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university (required)

  • Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred

  • Equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education

Experience Required

  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas:

    • Clinical trial finance or investigator payments

    • Grant payment management

    • Transactional accounting (Accounts Payable, Billing, Financial Operations)

    • Clinical research financial management


Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of clinical trial payment workflows, investigator contracts, and study budgets

  • Advanced analytical and reporting skills with attention to detail

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Ability to interpret financial data and translate it into actionable insights

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
