Research Nurse / RN, LPN, or Paramedic – Clinical Trials

Job Summary

Fortrea, a globally recognized Contract Research Organization (CRO), is actively hiring Research Nurses, LPNs, and Paramedics for its state-of-the-art Clinical Pharmacology Unit in Dallas, TX. This full-time, weekend overnight role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to pioneering Phase 1 clinical trials for leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies. Ideal for nursing and paramedic professionals eager to engage directly with participants while supporting the development of life-changing medical innovations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality care and ensure participant safety in clinical trials.

  • Monitor and document participant well-being and adverse events.

  • Secure informed consent and educate participants on study protocols.

  • Administer investigational drugs as per clinical trial procedures.

  • Conduct cannulation, telemetry, ECGs, vital signs monitoring, and venipuncture.

  • Collect, process, and document biological samples accurately.

  • Maintain precise data entry into electronic Case Report Forms (CRFs).

  • Respond swiftly to emergency scenarios in accordance with nursing standards.

  • Perform additional clinical tasks as assigned to support trial efficiency.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree or BS in Nursing with current state licensure OR

  • Certified EMT, LPN, CNA, CMA, or Paramedic (as applicable).

  • CPR/AED certification required; ACLS preferred.

  • 0–1 year of clinical nursing or paramedic experience.

  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, protocol-driven environment.

  • Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Familiarity with electronic data collection systems is advantageous.
