Job Overview

A leading global Clinical Research Organization (CRO) is hiring a Research Technician I for its Early Phase Clinical Research Unit in Madison, Wisconsin. In this role, you will work directly with healthy volunteer participants while supporting safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetic assessments for investigational therapies. Key Responsibilities

Clinical Procedures & Participant Care

  • Perform and accurately document vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, temperature, and weight

  • Conduct venipuncture and assist with biological sample collection

  • Prepare and record ECGs and Holter monitor data

  • Process, label, and distribute biological specimens in accordance with study protocols

  • Monitor participant meals to ensure dietary compliance

  • Assist with screening procedures and participant assessments

Study Operations & Compliance

  • Prepare clinical rooms and medical equipment for study visits

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and protocol-compliant research environment

  • Follow strict clinical research protocols and regulatory standards

  • Enter and manage clinical data within electronic data capture systems

  • Support cross-functional study teams to ensure timeline adherence

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)

  • 0–1 year of related healthcare, laboratory, or clinical experience

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written protocols

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly regulated clinical environment

Preferred Certifications

  • EMT (Emergency Medical Technician)

  • Phlebotomy Certification

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Work Environment

This position is based onsite in Madison, WI within a clinical research unit setting. The environment is:
