Job Overview

ThePharmaDaily.com presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced Scientific Specialist – Medical Information to join a global healthcare organization supporting high-quality, evidence-based medical communication. This remote role is ideal for medical writers with strong scientific expertise who are passionate about delivering accurate, compliant, and timely medical information to healthcare professionals, patients, and internal stakeholders.

The role requires hands-on experience in literature evaluation, medical information responses, and content development aligned with global medical communication standards.


Key Responsibilities

Medical & Scientific Content Development

  • Conduct comprehensive literature searches using PubMed and other subscribed scientific databases

  • Critically evaluate and validate relevant scientific literature for inclusion

  • Create, review, and update Global Standard Scientific Response Content (gSSRCs) and FAQs using approved templates and style guides

Medical Information & Query Management

  • Respond to escalated medical information queries from internal teams and external stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers

  • Ensure scientific accuracy, balance, and compliance in all written responses

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Liaise effectively with internal cross-functional teams and external stakeholders

  • Support seamless communication across medical, regulatory, and project teams

Quality, Compliance & Process Adherence

  • Follow best practices related to medical information processes, documentation, and project management

  • Maintain strict adherence to quality standards, timelines, confidentiality, and data security requirements

  • Participate in assigned training programs and complete required learning assignments


Education & Experience Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience as a Medical Writer or Scientific Specialist in medical information or medical communications

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on content development experience

  • Educational qualification in PharmD, MD, PhD, or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related scientific discipline

  • Strong familiarity with IT tools and digital medical information solutions


Required Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent medical and scientific writing skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across global and remote teams

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in writing and managing scientific publications such as manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and congress materials
