Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Scientific Writer to join our Medical Communications team and support the development of high-quality scientific and medical content across multiple therapeutic areas. The role involves creating publication and medical education materials, collaborating with global stakeholders, supporting publication planning activities, and contributing to scientific communication strategies that enhance knowledge dissemination within the healthcare community.

The ideal candidate will possess strong scientific writing skills, therapeutic area expertise, and the ability to communicate complex medical information effectively to healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Scientific & Medical Content Development

  • Develop and deliver high-quality scientific and medical communication materials, including:

    • Manuscripts

    • Abstracts

    • Posters

    • Slide Decks

    • Medical Education Materials

    • Scientific Presentations

    • Publication Summaries

  • Ensure all deliverables meet scientific, medical, and editorial quality standards.

  • Adapt content for different audiences while maintaining scientific accuracy and compliance.

Publication Planning & Execution

  • Support end-to-end publication development processes, including:

    • Publication planning

    • Content creation

    • Internal reviews

    • Submission support

    • Documentation and approval workflows

  • Assist in publication needs assessments and scientific communication planning.

  • Contribute to implementation of annual publication plans and communication strategies.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Collaborate with:

    • Medical Affairs Teams

    • Scientific Communication Teams

    • Product Managers

    • Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs)

    • Healthcare Professionals (HCPs)

    • External Vendors and Agencies

  • Build strong relationships with global and regional stakeholders.

  • Support scientific discussions and content development initiatives across therapeutic areas.

Medical Communication Support

  • Develop subject matter expertise within assigned therapeutic areas.

  • Interpret and summarize scientific literature, clinical trial data, and medical research findings.

  • Ensure content aligns with current scientific evidence, publication guidelines, and company standards.

  • Support development of customized communication materials based on stakeholder requirements.

Content Review & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with:

    • Publication Ethics

    • Medical Writing Standards

    • Internal Review Processes

    • Regulatory and Scientific Guidelines

  • Support document management and approval processes using content management systems such as:

    • PromoMats

    • iEnvision

    • Similar Medical Content Platforms

Process Improvement & Knowledge Sharing

  • Contribute to best practice development within the scientific writing team.

  • Share therapeutic area knowledge and scientific expertise with colleagues.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to content quality, workflow efficiency, and stakeholder engagement.

Required Qualifications

Education

One of the following:

  • Master's Degree in:

    • Life Sciences

    • Pharmacy

    • Biotechnology

    • Biomedical Sciences

    • Clinical Research

    • Related Healthcare Discipline

OR

  • Medical Degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent)
