Role Overview

The Biomarker Analysis Scientist will support Amgen’s global Precision Medicine and Computational Biology teams by delivering biomarker and translational analytics for clinical development programs across:

  • Oncology

  • Inflammation

  • Rare Diseases

  • Cardiovascular & Metabolic Diseases

  • Obesity & Related Disorders

The role focuses on extracting biological and clinical insights from complex clinical trial datasets using advanced statistical, computational, and AI-driven methods.


Key Responsibilities

Biomarker & Translational Analytics

  • Design and execute biomarker analyses for clinical trials.

  • Support:

    • Target engagement

    • Patient stratification

    • Pharmacodynamic modeling

    • Mechanism-of-action studies

    • Indication selection

    • Benefit-risk assessments

Multi-Omics & Clinical Data Integration

Work with high-dimensional datasets including:

  • Genomics

  • Transcriptomics

  • Proteomics

  • Metabolomics

  • Epigenomics

  • Spatial omics

  • Imaging data

  • Single-cell datasets

Statistical & Computational Modeling

  • Build quantitative analysis plans and statistical models.

  • Apply:

    • Regression models

    • Mixed-effects models

    • Multivariate analysis

    • Predictive/prognostic biomarker frameworks

    • Machine learning and AI methods

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with:

  • Clinicians

  • Biologists

Basic Qualifications

Education + Experience

One of the following:

  • PhD + 3 years relevant experience

  • Master’s + 5 years relevant experience

  • Bachelor’s + 7 years relevant experience


Preferred Qualifications

Educational Background

PhD (preferred) in:

  • Bioinformatics

  • Computational Biology

  • Statistics

  • Applied Mathematics

  • Computer Science

  • Data Science

  • Related quantitative disciplines


Technical Skills

Data & Analytics

Experience with:

  • Large-scale biological datasets

  • Clinical trial analytics

  • Longitudinal and multi-modal data

Statistical Expertise

Strong understanding of:
