Job Overview
A globally recognized clinical research and healthcare intelligence organization is seeking a Senior Clinical Data Science Lead to join its India operations. This role is available in Bangalore, Chennai, or Trivandrum with a flexible Office or Home working model.
The Senior Clinical Data Science Lead will provide strategic oversight of clinical data management and data science activities across complex clinical trials. This position plays a critical leadership role in ensuring high-quality, regulatory-compliant clinical data delivery that supports global submissions and innovative therapy development.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Data Strategy & Oversight
Lead planning, creation, and tracking of all data management deliverables, including CRFs, data review plans, QC plans, oversight plans, database release plans, submission plans, and archival documentation
Ensure timely delivery of datasets aligned with study milestones and regulatory requirements
Oversee database lock and final dataset readiness for submissions
Cross-Functional Clinical Leadership
Act as the primary point of contact (POC) for assigned studies
Partner with clinical operations, biostatistics, programming, medical, regulatory, and vendor teams to ensure trial objectives are met
Lead clinical working group discussions to align data management strategy with therapeutic area requirements
Quality & Compliance Governance
Ensure data integrity, GCP compliance, and adherence to global regulatory standards
Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies for data-related challenges
Share lessons learned, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives at the trial level
Vendor & Project Management
Oversee vendor performance related to data management activities
Drive project timelines and stakeholder accountability
Ensure efficient communication across global and cross-functional teams
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline
Minimum 8+ years of experience leading clinical trials as the main point of contact
Strong clinical data management experience; required for complex and advanced study oversight
Demonstrated expertise in global clinical trial processes and regulatory frameworks
Proven project management and vendor oversight experience
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools
Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
