Job Summary:
The Senior Clinical Programmer utilizes tools such as Veeva, Medidata Rave, Oracle Inform, and SAS to design, develop, validate, and maintain clinical trial databases and programming deliverables. This role includes leading multiple studies, ensuring data accuracy, mentoring peers, supporting audits, and improving programming workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain databases and software tools using systems such as Medidata Rave, Oracle Inform, and SAS.
Prepare CRFs, code configurations, edit checks, imports/exports, listings, and custom reports.
Lead and support multiple clinical programming projects simultaneously.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., data management, project analysts).
Serve as application administrator and provide technical support.
Monitor systems for errors, performance issues, and user access.
Review and validate study-level deliverables for quality assurance.
Support audits, change order development, and budget reviews.
Provide leadership and mentoring to other programmers.
Attend and lead Quick Start Camps (QSCs) and study-specific meetings.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Proven experience in clinical programming, especially with tools such as Veeva, SAS, Oracle Inform, Rave, or PL/SQL.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving abilities in a dynamic environment.
Experience in matrix organizations is an advantage.
Familiarity with programming languages such as SAS, PL/SQL, C#, or VB preferred.
Willingness to travel up to 25%.
