Job Summary
Amgen, a global biotechnology innovator, is hiring a Senior Manager – Information Security to lead enterprise-level data protection initiatives from its Hyderabad office. This role will oversee key cybersecurity domains including Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), and Data Classification systems. The ideal candidate will bring leadership experience, technical depth, and a proactive mindset to manage and scale secure information frameworks across Amgen’s global operations.
This is a high-impact role suited for experienced professionals in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or regulated IT sectors who are looking to shape the future of biotech cybersecurity.
Responsibilities
Lead the global delivery and continuous operation of Amgen’s DLP, CASB, and data classification services
Manage a distributed team of security analysts and engineers
Ensure compliance with incident management, change control, and request handling processes
Consult with business stakeholders to define and implement effective security policies
Support internal investigations with Legal, HR, and Compliance teams
Drive ongoing improvements in policy automation and security posture
Oversee technical architecture alignment between cloud-based and on-premise systems
Act as point of contact during information security audits and assessments
Advise on cryptographic controls and secure data transmission standards
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 10–14 years of experience, or
Master’s degree with 8–10 years, or
Diploma with 14–18 years in a relevant field
Proven leadership in enterprise cybersecurity, including global team management
Expertise in DLP and CASB platforms (e.g., Netskope, SkyHigh)
Strong understanding of SaaS security for platforms such as AWS, O365, Salesforce
In-depth knowledge of cryptographic services and data integrity principles
Experience with enterprise service management (incident, change, configuration)
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Preferred: CISSP or equivalent certification
Preferred Experience
Exposure to ITIL-based service delivery
Ability to mentor team members and lead complex investigations
Track record of building scalable, cloud-integrated security solutions
Background in pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated industries is advantageous
