Role Overview
The Senior Medical Manager – Hemato-Oncology will provide strategic medical leadership and scientific expertise within the hematology-oncology therapeutic area. The role involves developing medical strategies, supporting clinical research initiatives, engaging with key opinion leaders (KOLs), and ensuring scientific excellence in medical communications.

This position plays a critical role in supporting evidence generation, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and ensuring the delivery of accurate scientific information aligned with regulatory and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Medical Strategy and Therapeutic Leadership

  • Develop strategic insights and medical plans within the hemato-oncology therapeutic area.

  • Provide medical inputs to support brand strategy, evidence generation initiatives, and non-promotional scientific activities.

Clinical Research and Study Management

  • Serve as a study delivery lead, clinical sciences lead, or medical monitor for company-sponsored clinical studies.

  • Evaluate investigator-initiated study proposals and support research collaborations where appropriate.

Key Opinion Leader Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key external experts and key opinion leaders in oncology.

  • Engage with experts at medical congresses, scientific meetings, and educational events to support collaborative scientific discussions.

Scientific Communication and Education

  • Deliver scientific presentations at congresses, symposia, and continuing medical education (CME) programs.

  • Provide expert-level insights on disease areas and treatment options to healthcare professionals.

Medical Affairs and Brand Support

  • Provide medical insights and scientific expertise to support the development and implementation of brand strategies.

  • Ensure the development of high-quality, non-promotional scientific content for educational purposes.

Patient-Centric Initiatives

  • Lead and strategically manage Patient Support Programs to improve treatment accessibility and patient outcomes.

  • Identify new opportunities to strengthen patient-focused initiatives in the hemato-oncology therapy area.

Medical Information and Scientific Queries

  • Ensure accurate and timely responses to medical inquiries from healthcare professionals and internal teams.

Medical Review and Compliance

  • Review and approve non-promotional scientific materials in compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure that all communications adhere to pharmaceutical industry regulations and ethical standards.

Training and Capability Development

  • Provide disease and product training to field teams using approved scientific materials.

  • Support internal knowledge development on oncology therapies and clinical evidence.

Business Development and Opportunity Assessment

  • Evaluate new product opportunities and provide medical insights to business development teams based on current scientific evidence.

Regulatory and Product Information Management

  • Support timely updates of prescribing information and abbreviated prescribing information to ensure regulatory compliance.

Educational Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualification: MBBS with a postgraduate medical degree.

  • Preferred Qualification: Postgraduate degree in Pharmacology, Medicine, Immunology, Oncology, or related clinical disciplines.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 5–6 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or medical affairs roles.

  • Recent experience in oncology therapeutic areas is strongly preferred, with hemato-oncology experience considered an advantage.

  • Experience working in a head office or medical affairs environment supporting strategic initiatives.
