Role Summary
The Specialist I, Global Clinical Solutions is responsible for supporting global clinical trial systems, ensuring high-quality clinical coding, maintaining data integrity, and providing first-line system support to study teams. This role plays a critical part in enabling efficient, compliant, and scalable study delivery operations across global trials.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Systems Management
Maintain systems related to Financial Disclosure, Drug Return and Destruction, Investigator Databases, Safety Letter Distribution, and Clinical Trial Registration.
Ensure system data integrity and quality compliance.
Process financial charges related to study delivery support activities.
First-Line User Support
Provide timely and effective support for study delivery systems.
Resolve user issues to ensure uninterrupted clinical trial operations.
Clinical Coding & Data Review
Perform accurate hands-on coding or review of CRO-coded clinical study data (medical history, surgical history, adverse events, and medications).
Use approved coding dictionaries such as MedDRA and WHO Drug.
Raise and resolve coding-related queries as per global and local processes.
Monitor and respond to coding-related GDMRs and escalate when required.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Clinical Development, Data Management, and Operations teams.
Support integration of global systems and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Contribute to development of non-drug project proposals aligned with study efficiency goals.
Compliance & Governance
Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, internal SOPs, and Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) policies.
Maintain compliance with global clinical trial governance requirements.
Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or related scientific discipline.
3–6 years of experience in clinical operations, clinical data management, or clinical systems support within the pharmaceutical or CRO industry.
Hands-on experience in clinical coding and data review.
Working knowledge of global clinical trial processes and regulatory frameworks.
Experience providing first-line system or study delivery support.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with financial processing related to study delivery.
Exposure to global system integration or process improvement projects.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, matrix environment.
Work Model
Hybrid role based in Bangalore with an expectation of working from the office at least three days per week.
