Job Summary
IQVIA is hiring a Senior Clinical Database Designer for a hybrid role based in Bengaluru, India. This pivotal position involves designing and configuring clinical databases (eCRFs), leading study build activities, and aligning outputs with industry standards such as SDTM and CDASH. The ideal candidate will bring over 7 years of industry experience, including at least 2–4 years of specialized technical database design experience in clinical trials.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret clinical study protocols and design eCRFs using in-house or third-party CDMS tools.
Develop Edit Specification Documents and specifications for EDC components including roles, system settings, and homepage design.
Coordinate internal and client meetings like Pre-Design and Online Screen Reviews.
Manage the build of LLRR data within the InForm database and configure role access.
Proactively communicate project risks and escalate quality issues.
Lead internal edit specification reviews and ensure study-specific compliance.
Work across multiple clinical platforms and manage multiple concurrent projects.
Support process improvement efforts within database design and programming.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum 7 years of total experience, with 2–4 years of hands-on database design.
Strong understanding of clinical study data flow, CDASH, SDTM standards.
Experience with tools like InForm, Medidata Rave, or similar EDC platforms.
Excellent communication, risk management, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
