Job Summary
Syneos Health is seeking a highly skilled Senior Medical Editor with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in medical editing, copyediting, and publishing. This remote position in India is ideal for professionals with strong command over AMA style, a background in clinical sciences or publishing, and expertise in regulatory and scientific documentation. Key Responsibilities
Ensure documents comply with FDA, EU, and industry guidelines.
Represent the editorial team in medical writing and cross-functional projects.
Monitor project timelines and budgets; report risks proactively.
Mentor junior editors and provide editorial training.
Lead complex medical writing deliverables and editorial projects.
Perform in-depth copyediting and data integrity review.
Follow AMA style and internal editorial standards rigorously.
Support process improvements and contribute to SOP updates.
Manage end-to-end editorial tasks for regulatory documents.
Compile and publish final medical writing deliverables.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Clinical Sciences, English, or Journalism (preferred).
Minimum 5 years of experience in medical editing or publishing.
Strong copyediting and data integrity review capabilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with AMA style guide is highly preferred.
Experience with Adobe Acrobat, ISIToolbox (preferred).
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Knowledge of FDA/EU regulations, ICH guidelines, and ISO standards.
Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
