Role Overview:

The Sr Statistical Programmer will develop advanced R/Shiny applications, optimize performance, integrate databases, create interactive visualizations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop R programs and advanced Shiny applications (reactivity, modules, layouts, custom components)

  • Customize Shiny applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

  • Integrate Shiny apps with databases (e.g., SQL) for data storage, retrieval, and manipulation

  • Create interactive visualizations with Plotly

  • Optimize performance for responsiveness and handling large datasets

  • Conduct testing, debugging, and unit testing for Shiny applications

  • Collaborate using Git for version control

  • Communicate technical concepts effectively and document application features

  • Work in an Agile environment

  • Familiarity with Python and Selenium testing framework


Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in R programming

  • Advanced Shiny development skills (reactivity, modules, layouts, custom components)

  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for Shiny customization

  • Experience with Plotly for data visualization

  • Database integration experience (SQL)

  • Proficiency in Git for version control

  • Strong skills in performance optimization, testing, and debugging Shiny apps

  • Familiarity with Python and Selenium

  • Agile experience

  • Strong communication and documentation skills
