Job Purpose:

To manage Rx pricing for the Indian market by ensuring accurate pricing documentation, compliance with NPPA regulations, and timely implementation of pricing strategies that support topline and bottom-line growth. The role involves regulatory response, stakeholder coordination, pricing analytics, and system automation for enhanced decision-making.


Key Accountabilities:

1. Pricing Analytics for India Business (Rx):

  • Drive quarterly and annual price hikes with Commercial Finance Managers.

  • Provide NPPA-governed pricing insights to support informed decision-making.

  • Plan and implement MRP hikes on new stock for revenue optimization.

  • Maintain a Price Master detailing MRP, margins, hike due dates, etc.

2. Regulatory Compliance & Notifications:

  • Respond to NPPA notifications and demand notices with required documentation.

  • Prepare submissions and preliminary responses to NPPA queries.

  • Guide management on new launches in light of regulatory changes.

  • Provide impact assessments and mitigation plans to protect business interests.

3. Automation & Process Simplification:

  • Lead automation projects to consolidate pricing data into a single platform.

  • Collaborate with vendors for UAT, validation, and go-live of automation tools.

4. Provisioning & MIS:

  • Ensure timely provisions for MRP audits and risk-based product launches.

  • Collaborate with Legal to anticipate regulatory demands and update books accordingly.

5. Stakeholder Management:

  • Liaise with auditors and address queries via documentation and calculations.

  • Oversee MRP updates at material and batch levels; manage stock pricing decisions.

  • Drive inventory pricing accuracy across depots and respond to deviations effectively.

6. Major Challenges & Solutions:

  • Multi-stakeholder coordination: Proactively communicate and align with teams.

  • Regulatory volatility: Monitor and manage continuous updates through structured tracking.

  • Consensus alignment: Facilitate regular discussions with Legal, Corporate Affairs, and Business to finalize pricing.


Key Interactions:

  • Internal: Finance (CFMs/CFHs), Legal, Supply Chain, Corporate Affairs, One India CEO/CFO

  • External: Automation consultants, P2P vendors


Job Dimensions:

  • Manages Rx pricing for revenue base of approx. ₹9,000 Cr

  • Decision-making authority over data submissions, pricing compliance, and automation scope


Qualifications:

  • Education: Chartered Accountant or MBA (Finance)

  • Experience: 3–5 years minimum; pharma pricing experience preferred

  • Skills: Strong analytics, regulatory interpretation, compliance knowledge, and cross-functional communication


Estimated Salary: ₹10–₹16 LPA (depending on experience and pharma pricing exposure)
