How You Will Make an Impact:

In this role, you will collaborate with various teams to create high-quality user documentation, animations, and videos that enhance the customer experience. By engaging with fellow team members, you will help plan and implement documentation-focused projects that support a variety of organizational initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and maintain user documentation to aid in the effective use of our products and services.
  • Research and write technical documentation for analytical instruments, including liquid, gas, and ion chromatographs, as well as mass spectrometers.
  • Create and update animations to illustrate workflows, installation processes, and maintenance procedures.
  • Work closely with scientists, engineers, project managers, and product managers to capture accurate information in a scientific environment.
  • Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving the documentation process.
  • Participate in peer reviews of user documentation.
  • Develop documentation plans and write reusable topic-based content.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in technical communication, chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field with a focus on technical documentation, or equivalent years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a technical writer.
  • Proven experience in writing topic-based content for software and hardware installation, maintenance instructions, troubleshooting, and training materials, including standard operating procedures, manuals, and Help systems.
  • Familiarity with DITA-based content management systems and authoring tools.
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with screen capture software and video production tools such as Captivate, Storyline, Camtasia, or Final Cut Pro.
  • Familiarity with mass spectrometry and chromatography instruments.

Additional Information:

Shortlisted candidates will be required to provide writing samples and may need to complete a test on camera or at our office.
