We are currently seeking Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), and certified Paramedics to join our Madison, WI site for night shift rotations. This role offers hands-on experience with healthy volunteers in Phase I trials and exposure to a wide variety of therapeutic areas and study types, including ascending dose, first-in-human, food effect, and drug-drug interaction studies.


Night Shift Options

  • Weekdays Only, 12-hour shift: 6 PM – 6 AM

  • Weekdays Only, 8-hour shift: 11 PM – 7 AM

  • Weekends Only, 12-hour shift: 6 PM – 6 AM

Role Overview

As a Clinical Research Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care while supporting clinical trial procedures. You will gain direct clinical experience in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and play a vital role in the collection and processing of clinical data.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform vital signs: blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, temperature, and weight measurements.

  • Prepare and accurately record ECGs and Holter monitoring data.

  • Collect, process, and manage biological samples per study protocol; ensure proper distribution.

  • Monitor participant dietary compliance.

  • Assist in preparation and maintenance of study rooms and medical equipment.

  • Support participant screening and onboarding procedures.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant clinical environment.

  • Follow study protocols, SOPs, and regulatory guidelines precisely.

  • Undertake additional duties as assigned to support clinical operations.


Qualifications & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Preferred certifications: EMT, Phlebotomy, CMA, or CNA.

  • Paramedics must be state-certified.

  • 0–1 year of relevant healthcare or clinical experience; prior research exposure is a plus.


Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Onsite clinical and laboratory setting with exposure to biological fluids and standard office equipment.

  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) required, including gloves, protective eyewear, and garments.

  • Ability to work upright or stationary for 6–8 hours per shift.

  • Repetitive hand movements for clinical procedures and equipment operation.

  • Occasional bending, stooping, crouching, and lifting up to 15–20 lbs.

  • Flexible hours and commitment to night shift schedules.
